The Baltimore County Genealogical Society (BCGS) will feature guest speaker, Wayne Schaumburg. His presentation, Baltimore’s First Century, 1729-1829, will trace the history of Baltimore from its founding, a sleepy village on the Patapsco River, to a major American city, discussing the people, places, architecture, and events responsible for our amazing growth. Also, find out why Baltimore earned the nickname of “that nest of pirates on the Chesapeake” during the American Revolution and the Wae of 1812. This event is free and open to the public.
