MGS is pleased to once again partner with Maryland Public Television (MPT) to offer a new beginner-to-intermediate genealogy webinar series. Finding Your Roots Online includes four (4) two-hour sessions focused on the fundamentals of key online sources of genealogical records and how to use them to research your ancestors. Sessions will be held at 7:00pm ET on April 17, May 1, May 15, and May 29.
Part 1 - Doing a Deep Dive Into Ancestry’s Collections
Ancestry is the go-to site for many family history researchers, but accessing the 40 billion records they have online takes more than just entering a name in their search box. Learn how to find and search in specific collections on Ancestry to unlock amazing records for your ancestors.
The cost of the series is $100.00. For more information and to register, visit the MPT registration page.
