Ancestry has changed dramatically over the past couple of years. Are you using the latest search options and filters? Do you know how many free resources (including expensive books like The Source and The Redbook) are available on its wiki? Can you find the books and databases and maps that relate to your ancestors effectively (and, by the way, what are databases)? What are the pros and cons of using online trees and posting your own tree? How would taking Ancestry DNA test help you?
The Montgomery County Genealogical Society will explore these topics and others during this presentation by Sharon MacInnes. For more information send an email to montmdgenealogy@yahoo.com or gensoc@montgomeryhistory.org.
