Government Documents: Continental Congress, the U.S. Serial Set, and Statutes at Large

Presented by Rebecca Whitman Koford, CG, CGL

The published records of the United States Government consist of a wealth of information on the running of the government and the needs of its people. For this lecture, we will focus on only part of the many types of Government Documents: the published government documents that were publications of the executive branch and the Congress, namely the Journals of the Continental Congress, the U.S. Serial Set, & the Statutes at Large. We will also explore obtaining the original records introduced to Congress.
