Join us in person or online at the MGS Fall Seminar for four great presentations on Maryland's government-created vital records. We'll take a deep dive into the records for births, marriages, divorces, and deaths. We'll be discussing well-known and not-so-well-known records, what they can tell you, and how to access them.
If you can join us in person, there will be a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, snacks and drinks, and genealogy book sales. Or attend virtually via Zoom. Plus, recordings of the presentations will be available to all registrants for a time after the event.
Presentations will include:
- Linking Children and Parents: Maryland Civil Birth and Adoption Records
- Tying the Knot: Maryland Marriage Records
- Digging Through the Breakups: Maryland Divorce Records
- Pinning Down Death Dates: Maryland Civil Death Records (Plus One Federal Source)
Speakers are Tom McCarriar, Druscilla Null, and Heather O'Hara. (speaker bios)
